PIERCING AFTERCARE GUIDE
A New Standard for Piercers
Wash Hands With Antibacterial Soap Before Touching The Piercing!
Clean piercing 2-3x/day with Castile Soap or 1/4 tsp non-iodized sea salt to 1 cup of warm water. Use Q-Tips.
Repeat this process for 4-6 weeks.
Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, and any water that may contain harmful bacteria.
Do not remove jewelry before the healing time is complete. Doing so may result in tissue damage.
Avoid sleeping, tugging, or pulling on the piercing.
Avoid any hair, if applicable, from getting caught on the piercing during the healing process.
Do not use alcohol, peroxide, or lotions in the piercing area.
Do not play with jewelry during the healing process.
Rule of Thumb: It is fully healed when crusting stops.​
Oral Piercings​
Rinse with antiseptic mouth wash once in the morning and once at night for at least 30 seconds.
After each meal and after any drink other than water, rinse with salt solution as mentioned above.
Avoid oral sex for 4-6 weeks.
Avoid smoking, dairy products, chewing tobacco, beer, spicy and citrusy foods during the healing process.
